New Beginnings

A luna moth holds tight to me during
a trip to Tennessee this summer
The summer is winding down and we are all getting ready for the start of a new school year. Some of you are going on to middle school while others are moving up a grade. As you know, I will also be facing a new challenge. While I will no longer be at P.S. 230, please remember that I will always carry each and every one of you in my heart, and I wish you much happiness as you move through life's chapters. You have fulfilled me in many, many ways, both as a teacher and as a human being. I hope I have done the same for many of you.

I'm not sure yet what will happen to this blog, but I will keep you all posted. Love Ms. Seitz

Hi, Ms. Seitz. I also haven't visited in a while because I just returned from Bangladesh yesterday. I woke up at 3 today and got everything ready for school. I'll leave in a little while for the fifth day of school!(My first day of school.) I'm a little nervous and excited so we'll see how it goes. :) I'll write later, so bye! Love, Tasfiya.

I am just so happy to be hearing from both of you! I'm glad you like your school Sarah and Tasfiya, I totally forgot you were in Bangladesh. Hope your first day of school is great. I miss you both and all the kids at PS 230. I think about them during the day sometimes. Things are well at my new school. I'm getting adjusted and getting to know the students, teachers and procedures and routines. I have to write a different blog for my school, which I'll have to start soon. Anyway, I'd love to hear more, so keep me in the loop. Love Ms. Seitz

Hi, Ms. Seitz. I'm really enjoying my new school. My teachers are really nice and explain things very clearly. My computer teacher is a bit mean some days, but on other days she can be nice. I have a test each day this week. We had three tests today and I've been studying with classmates because we have more tomorrow and all through the week. I'm also trying to get community service hours for something called the Natural Junior Honor Society. To get hours, I'm taking part in a program at Christa called the Kiwanis Builders Club. The money we raise go to charity. How do you like your new school? I hope it's going great. Well, I have to finish my homework. Almost done! I'll write later! :) --Tasfiya

Nice to hear from you Hasib. I actually ran into Imran near PS 230 but we didn't get to talk because he dashed somewhere. Glad to hear you are making robots and enjoying it. Is that in science class? I am doing well at my new job. It is a welcomed challenge! Hope you are also being challenged in middle school. Best, Ms. Seitz
