NEW CAM - LIVE FROM AFRICA!

I can't believe that I am watching LIVE some elephants drinking from a river in Kenya! It's almost like being on safari. It's pretty amazing. And there are three cams to choose from: the aforementioned African River Cam, the Animal Lookout Cam, and the Watering Hole Cam.

This site has even more cams to explore, including grey seals on Seal Island, Maine

Hi, Ms. Seitz! I can't wait to start watching yet! I do LOVE the bird cams, but it'll be nice to watch something different. How cool it will be to watch animals like elephants and others! I agree, it would feel like a safari!! I'm gonna comment again after seeing the cam. Also, I can't wait to sell seeds at the school fair! I'll tell you again that the seed packets you made are beautiful!! I also can't wait for the bouncy house. ;)
And of course, I'm super excited for Monday's trip! Well, see you Sunday!

Sarah: From the last post, I've actually known about the Quetzal for a while now and yes, they are beautiful! But unfortunately, endangered too. People kill them for their feathers. If you go online you can see pics of dead Quetzals STUFFED! :( Museums and zoos also wanted them, but the Quetzals died because they can't be kept in captivity. Another reason they are endangered is because of deforestation. If it keeps up in the Quetzal's habitat, the Quetzal could be extinct within five years! How sad it would be to lose such amazing birds! :( If only some people weren't so cruel or greedy for their feathers! Or cutting down their habitat! :(

Okay, I just checked up on all the cams this site has, and they're amazing! I'm watching honey bees in their hive right now. They even have 3 bird cams! And now, I just switched. I'm watching 2 polar bears playing! Sorry that I keep switching as I write this, but they even have an underwater cam that I'm watching right now! And now, I'm watching a shark lagoon..... :o I could even watch penguins swimming and penguins landing! There is even a bison cam! So many of them, I can't list them all! Fatima would love to look at some of the cams because there are even dog cams. And she LOVES dogs. I better stop talking too much, bye! THANK YOU FOR WRITING ABOUT THIS WEBSITE!! :)

Hi Ms.Seitz! It does feel like a safari.I agree 3.Today is a really busy day.Tomorrow is the school fair and I have to be there by 9:00 and back home at 4:00.I need to go to Shannon's to get some more potting soil for my Mexican Sunflower.I also feel like it's time some different cams came in.I'm gonna go check them out.

Tasfiya: That is so sad.I have seen a picture of that bird on the 'endangered birds' page in that book.I remember last year when you come in the morning there is no line for the bouncy house but as it turns day that is when the line starts. It turns really big!See you there!

Hi Ms.Seitz! The trip to The Brooklyn Grange Farm trip was so much fun.I am so glad we walked to the train station. The weather was beautiful and on the way Sabrina,Toasif,Kaseng and me were talking about jokes. When we were on the bus Sabrina,Ariel,Kaseng and me were playing a game we created called The Silent Game in which we timed who was the most silent one and for how long. Ariel won.We tried to make each other laugh by making pictures with our fingers. On the train I was acting like Lillian Jean. She is a character from this book called Roll of Thunder,Hear My Cry.It is in the time period of the 1930s. During segregation and The Great Depression.Lillian Jean is a racist character.I was talking to Sabrina: Imagine you go to the movie theater and there is a list of horror movies. The number one horror movie would be Lillian Jean 2014!! :)You saw me wearing those sunglasses in the bus and holding my umbrella. You heard me say ''O my gosh! It's so hot!:)I was acting like a girly girl.

Glad you enjoyed the trip. It's great to explore other areas! I'd never been to the Brooklyn Navy Yard, but I can't say that anymore!

Hey, Ms. Seitz. I think in the summer I want to visit another farm with my family maybe, called the Eagle Street Rooftop farm. They even have bunnies there! :) Have you ever gone there or heard of it Ms. Seitz? I found out about if yesterday after the trip because I searched up other rooftop farms in NYC. P!us, I love the cams on explore.org that you wrote about. I was watching hippos today, even though it was offline they were showing highlights from when it was live. There were a lot of them. One of them looked like they were yawning. :) I also got to watch pandas that are now toddlers live! They are so cute! :) Well, I gotta go for now. Bye!!

Tasfiya, I have been to the Eagle Street rooftop farm. If you scroll back into the archives on this blog, you will find a post about it. It's smaller, but very nice and they sell their produce!
